Stenciled French Burlap Wall Hanging

Hello Friends,
I've been stuck in the house for so long, that i can't stop with the projects!! I hope you don't get sick of seeing them.I have a french stencil, and i have a lot of ideas for using it!! I'll show you the first project i came up with. I have this in my office. My office is the only room in the house with some color which i love!! It has moss green walls, and most everything else is black, and white.I can tell you Mr.KP is so happy to see a room with color!! Here it is from start to finish.

I used a board that's one and a half feet long, and about one inch thick.I wrapped it in burlap, and stapled it on the back.

I measured the middle, and taped the stencil on.

I used a chunky brush, and black acrylic paint.I don't use a lot of paint on the brush.

It's above my fireplace in my office.

Turned out pretty good!!This was a really easy project.

Kathy- I LOVE it! Did you make the stencil yourself or find it pre-cut somewhere? I used to do quite a bit of stenciling but haven't in a long time...and I hate cutting my own stencils!>( Thanks for sharing this beautiful project...I love it. When I first looked I thought I was seeing a bright blue frame (before I realized it was tape-lol) and thought...ewwwww...glad it was just tape! Hugs- Diana

First I need to find some burlap...I'm not even sure where to look for it but I guess I could try online. You have such wonderful idea's and are a wealth of information AND Inspiration. THANK YOU! Great job! What a great way to pass the time and get a wonderful addition to your decor. I packed all my craft supplies, so I pretty much can't do much. My dear hubby wouldn't appreciate me buying more supplies!! I've been doing genealogy and catching up on my magazines!
Blessings,
Cindy

Howdy Kathy, wanted to let you know that you inspired me to make one of these. I had a canvas that I'm not using and found some burlap at a rummage sale today for $.50. Quick question, where did you get your stencil? I really like it.

Thanks for the inspiration ~ Deanna
