Beach Theme To The Guest Bath

Hello Friends,
Spring is right around the corner so i wanted to give the guest bath a little makeover. It finally stopped raining so i could take some pictures! I had a small cabinet in my kitchen that i bought at a garage sale in the summer, but it just didn't look right in there! So i gave it a makeover, and put it in my guest bath. I painted, and glazed it, and added some chicken wire. I don't have a linen closet in there so now i have a place for my towels. I've been looking for a new shower curtain, but i still can't find the right one.

I'm so happy i found a place for this picture! It's been up in the attic. It's one of my favorite pictures. My husband and i love to go down the shore and sit on a big rock and watch the boats. This picture reminds me of that.

It looks better with the chicken wire.It doesn't look so plain now.

I glued a seashell to the knob, and i went over the chicken wire with some black paint that i mixed with water, and i did some glazing.

Hi Kathy,
What a wonderful idea and a great place to store your towels. Isn't it great to have things around the house that you can move from one room to another! I love what you did with this. DH is working on our little bathroom now..his arthritis is bothering him so it's slow going but I'll make sure to do a post about it and take pictures as we go. Hopefully we'll be done next week. I hope you have a wonderful day.
Maura :)
