I found a pretty picture at the consignment shop that i thought would look great above my mantle. I took my mirror down for a while. It's been above my mantle for several years, and i needed a change. You know how that goes!! This picture reminds me of summer. I think it's bright, and cheerful.
I dry brushed the frame with cottage white paint. I had to keep the topiaries that i made right where they were. I cut some greens from the yard, and filled the pitchers.I think the pears add a little more color to it. Some old books, and that does it!! I love all the greens.
I love to add pears. They brighten up any space!!

Kate your place always looks so beautiful to me. I remember how I loved your tureen for Christmas, and went hunting for that picture again. Now I'm remembering a picture of ornate frames with no picture, hanging on a wall? I'd love to see that picture again. blessings, Lady
Hi Kathy ~ I used to have that exact same picture! When we moved to this house I didn't have a place for it so I took it to a second hand store. Wouldn't it be funny if somehow it was the same picture? Anyway, it looks really pretty above your mantle and I like the pears too!

Hi Kathy: Pretty picture perfect!! I picked up the willow spheres and the greens from Michael's a few weeks ago but haven't made the topiaries yet. Probably will keep them in bag for now before they will be knee deep in plaster dust. Your's look so pretty, along with the pitcher of greens and the picture..Happy Friday..Judy
