Hope everyone is having a good week! I found an old Industrial looking shopping cart at a porch sale about a month ago. It's been sitting In the garage waiting for me to do something with It!! In all the garage sales I've been to this Is the first time I came across this type of shopping cart. So, for $3.00 I bought It. I like the old Industrial look of It, but It needed something! How about a liner?? Yep, that's what It needed! So, I got out the burlap, and tried to figure out how to make one. The best part was I didn't need the sewing machine! Just scissors, and twine.
I just measured, and cut out panels. Then I attached each panel with twine. I'm using my new stencil I bought on ebay. I'm going to use this for my vegetables. Now I have a place to store my potatoes!! I'll just put a plastic liner Inside.
I'm working on another project now using this stencil. I'll show you soon.
Have a great day!!

I bought one of these carts at a thrift shop last year and I wanted to line it and make it look pretty but then what. Now I know, I love the ways yours looks and what a perfect use for it.
Kathy,
LOVE your liner and your cart!

What a wonderful piece, I love it:)
That was quite a good deal! And you knew exactly how to take it to the next level...

What a super deal and a super cute liner!
How clever you are to make it that way!
Potatoes stored in style :-)))

Oh Kathy, you're so lucky! How adorable is that cart...I love it!
Love your cart, Kathy! I just bought a willow basket cart and it came with a liner that isn't quite a fabric I would have chosen. I've got plans to make a new one with some dropcloth. Hopefully, that will turn out as I'm imagining it!
Very cute! The stencil looks great with the burlap!~Hugs, Patti
Love that stencil! Can't wait to see your new project. I'd love a fun vintage cart done up like this. Have a great weekend!
I love your cart and liner. There is nothing better to use at a flea market when you are gathering treasures.
So cool. I would have snatched that too.
Kate, it's been a while since I last visited, and I can see I've missed some lovely posts. I've caught up this evening and so enjoyed my visits. Lovely things going on at Kate's Place.
The cart is great on its own, but with that liner it is AMAZING! I love it-you did a fantastic job!

HOW smart and stylish. I am going to start looking for a cart like that. When we lived in Paris, they called them caddies (sounds like cadee)...I used it all the time.
Love it Kathy...and no sew?...that's a project for me!
Oh..this darling $3 treasure must make it over to Nifty Thrifty Tuesday, because I would love to feature it:)
Blessings,
Linda
