I've been collecting tureens for years!! I have so many of them that I can't buy one more! I was thinking of packing them up, and having a nice clean look above the cabinets, but I just couldn't do It. I don't know what I would do with all of them. I don't have the heart to take them to the consignment shop. So, I'm keeping them right where they are for now. I didn't buy one tureen or platter from the store. They all come from thrift shops, garage sales, estate sales.

My hubby put lights above the cabinets. It's looks pretty at night.

Those look perfect up there. I wouldn't take them down. They add so much charm.
They do look so beautiful there. Trust me, I sold a lot of things when I moved last year. I've regretted a lot of it.

So neat looking Kathy, I wouldn't get rid of them either, love the lights, I usually do that with greenery at Christmas time and it always looks so nice!

That's what I'm shooting for, Kathy! I found one big tureen with a platter and I'm on the lookout for more when I go to the thrift store. I think it is a look that will work for one side of our cabinetry.

Kathy - Your kitchen is so pretty. I love all of your cream vases and tureens. I too, collect cream pottery. I started out with McCoy but then started seeing so many pretty other pieces in cream. I now have a huge collection. I have some on my blog - 20 North Ora. Come visit sometime.

These simply designed cabinets are looking great. However, its difficult to keep them clean to maintain their beauty.
