I went to an estate sale on Friday right around the corner from my house!! I love that!! The only trouble was I had to stand In line for one hour. I was #44! The line was so long, and they only let In ten people at a time. I was going to leave, but then I decided I would wait! I hate sales that give out numbers. I don't have the patience for long lines. It was a huge victorian house, and It was stifling hot Inside. Three floors! Did I mention It was dusty, and dirty!! It was a diggers delight, but I wasn't about to dig!! I was afraid to dig for fear a mouse might be under all that stuff. Let me tell you people were digging like It was going out of style! I bought one thing, and ran for my life!! The smell nearly killed me. I went to another sale that was outside!!! Much better!
I bought the wood box a few weeks ago at a yard sale. Friday I found the round breadboard to add to my collection.
This tool box I found at the estate sale. It was $4.00. I took It outside, and scrubbed It before I brought It In. I'm not sure If It was worth the wait!! I'm going to fill It with pumpkins, and gourds In the fall.
I wanted you to see the color In this shot.
Have a great night!!

I love your new finds! The tool box is adorable, and what a great buy.
Sounds like fun, well maybe except where there may have rats! :) I don't blame you, I would have run too. Love your tool box! :)
Be a sweetie,

Awesome finds! I love the round bread board! That is one thing I have never done, estate sale like that. After reading this, not sure I want to! lol

ps...please link this up to Cowgirl Up! tonight♥
It might have been worth the wait- I think it is pretty cute! I hate sales like that, too...and I haven't been to one like that in years. Sounds like the owners were hoarders- xo Diana
Kathy,
Im cracking up at your description of the place. Don't you wonder how people can live in such filth. At least you came home with a treasure:)
I think it was worth the wait, but I can relate. I don't like sales where you have to take a # and wait in line. Also don't like to dig through dirty stuff. ;-)
Awesome Find! I also collect breadboards they have a sense of home and good food to me~Cheers Kim
I love the round bread board you found and the box to store them in. The tool box is just terrific and I know it will be gorgeous with fall pumpkins inside.
Oh wow, i love your box filled with cutting boards, and the round one is to die for... Cool! I've never been to an estate sale, but truly, i don't really like all that competition stuff around buying things, i'd rather find stuff in a less competitive environment...

Hey, for finds like that, I'd stand in line all day long, Kathy! I'll just remember to bring a clothespin for my nose. lolol! :) Love that round bread board!

That will look great filled with pumpkins and gourds, Kathy! I know what you mean ~ I have no patience to wait in line for something like that. Plus, I'd be getting antsy that all the "good stuff" would be gone by the time I got in there.
I love your breadboard collection as well as the wooden boxes. I love looking at your ironstone collection in the hutch behind the box. My post today shows my "beginner's" collection of white dishes. I get so much inspiration from your blog. Thanks!
Hi Kathy,
You made me laugh....I am the same way!
Love your finds.

I love your new finds Kathy! I have never been to an estate sale where they gave out numbers....maybe that's a good thing! Enjoy your evening, Gail
