Hope everyone had a good week. My daughter came for a visit, and I didn't have time to post until now!! I'm finally finished with my mantle In the living room. It took me awhile to decide how I was going to decorate It this year. I did change things around just a little.
I had this old piece of plywood In the garage. I painted It, and sanded around the edges. I wanted a rustic look for fall. To dress it up I added the basket that I had, and filled It with fall picks. Lots of pinecones, and gourds too!!
The lanterns I bought at Home goods fit right In with the rustic look. I added some orange candles, and colored leaves. Just a little touch of silver too!! 
Gotta add some old books to the mix!!

Hi Kathy: The mantle looks so pretty. Years ago I don't think many people decorated with a piece of plywood. Can you believe it. They sure missed out on a good thing! Love those HomeGoods lanterns..Happy Monday..Judy
