Hello Friends,
Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. I'm starting to get back to normal. All my out of town guests left on thursday, and we had a great time!! Then down came all the christmas stuff. Finally It was all packed away! Then I had to start all over again putting everything back where It belongs. I did make a few changes for the long dark winter months!! I like the kitchen to be bright, and cheerful on these dark cold days, and It's snowing like crazy out right now!!!
I added white and green hydrangeas to the old tool box!.
I found eight more white ironstone plates at the thrift shop. I also
found the covered bowl too. I'm just using six of the plates. This
makes me feel better on those gloomy days!! It's nice and bright!
I also found the five finger vase at the thrift shop. I lucked out
that day!! Can you see the snow??? It's coming down!
I found one more copper tray. It's all worn and tarnished just the
way I like It!! I found the cow too! I bought all this stuff on one trip
to the thrift shop. I spent 25.00 for all my new treasures!
Have a great day!
Happy New Year!

You made some great deals on your copper! I have the piece on the far top right as well. Do you know it is an egg poacher? Your kitchen looks beautiful, clean and bright for the new year. Happy, happy!
Great new treasures Kathy! Your kitchen looks so pretty and bright! Not much snow around here just a dusting.Still have not taken down my Christmas decor. But I did very minimal so I don't mind it being up yet.I will take it down when my daughter heads back to school!
Best wishes to you in the coming year!

Kate, I love the look of the whites in your kitchen hutch. The tool box with the hydrangeas was like icing on the cake.
My favorite though is your vignette of molds and the two cows. Something just speaks home to me with that vignette.
Looking Good! Happy New Year to you~Kim
It all looks beatiful, Kate. We need some 'calm' right about now. Deb
Looks great Kathy!! Snowing like crazy here too, I love it!
Looks great Kathy!! Snowing here all day!!
You did great on this trip, Kathy! You found some wonderful things. Once I go through my Christmas decorations and pack up what I'm donating, I'll head to Goodwill and see what they've got in whites. I need to find some tureens to get my top of the cabinet set up. I think the three I have won't quite do it! : ) Your kitchen does look so bright ~ definitely a plus in the winter months.
Love the copper and cows!
I have never seen such a vase. Your spot is lovely and so glad you have all your Christmas decor taken care of.
Your kitchen is beautiful! I love that five fingered vase...I need one of those :) Love the toolbox too. Actually, whats not to love? :) Everything is perfect!
What a score Kathy!!! You really found some beautiful new treasures. They create a sweet bright kitchen. Perfect for dark winter days.
I especially luv the hydrangeas in the box. So pretty!

I LOVE your kitchen and your winter touches looks beautiful! I started yesterday taking down Christmas and left a few vignettes that were more winter than Christmas. Best wishes to you in the new year and looking forward to following along. Gail
I really like the new look, Kathy. I'm still putting Christmas away, but I'm starting to get pictures in my head (hope I'm not the only one who does that) of some new things I want to try!
